Greetings Brother Knights
The month of May has been very busy with efforts by our nomination committee to fill our council executive with Brothers willing to step up and get involved in the daily and or monthly operations of our council. With that in mind, please consider allowing your name to be nominated for an executive position In our council. You will find it to be very rewarding.
This month brothers Leo Bunz, Kevin Lopresti and myself attended our schools to hand out diplomas for all the grade 5 students who participated in our annual coloring contest for Vocations and the real reward is the look on those kid’s faces as their name was called to receive their diploma. It is extremely rewarding. Thank you Leo and Kevin. WELL DONE.
Our lecture night was the Rachel Rosary which was said outside at the Rachel statue and for all those who were present it was a very moving experience. Thank you to all who joined us and for everyone’s participation.
Father Paul’s birthday was on the 31st of May and we all congratulate you on your 52nd. Cake and coffee was served after the Wednesday morning mass and Father came for breakfast at the A and W.
The 50TH ANNUAL GRAND KNIGHT’S BALL will be held on Saturday the 17th of June and I will have tickets available after the regular council meeting on Monday the 5th of June. The Ball will be held at the Carriage House Inn. I will also be at all the masses beginning on Saturday June 3rd. and you may purchase tickets at that time.
Tuesday JUNE 6TH IS THE BEGINNING OF THE FOOTBALL SEASON and all Brothers are encouraged to volunteer sometime during this season to enjoy the fun and fraternity of a few hours together living the good life.
I thank you all for your help during this Columbian year and I encourage you all again to step up for the council. We are still looking for a Grand Knight and a Deputy Grand Knight.
Alida and I wish you all a tremendous and fun filled summer. God Bless You All and see you at the GRAND KNIGHT’S BALL.
